We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in 2008. This year, rather than sending out Christmas cards, we have decided to provide a new computer to a young man from the local area that needs our support.
Stephen is 17 years old. He attends the Star Centre at Ullenwood where he shows a keen aptitude for IT and digital photography. Stephen has recently been admitted to hospital for yet another operation on his hips and legs which are severely disabled through cerebral palsy. He will have a difficult and long journey to recovery both in and out of hospital and it would be a great for him if he could use a computer to keep himself stimulated. Unfortunately, the family laptop is not only “broken” but is also unsuitable for Steve to use effectively. He needs a PC with a large screen as he has difficulty sitting close to a table. This is all the more important over the next few weeks as Steve will be in a waist to ankle cast which will restrict his movements even further. Our thoughts will be with Stephen, particularly over the Christmas period. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
