Stuart Diesel

Group Managing Director

Experienced engineer by trade, South African born Stuart leads from the front and is the driving force behind the current success and growth of Group HES. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and has worked his way up the company, starting as an engineer for Branch Hydraulics Systems in Brighton, to a point where he was part of a Management Buyout in 1999. Stuart is always looking for innovating ideas and technologies to develop the company.

Alex Tatlow

Group Applications Manager

Alex joined Branch Hydraulic Systems (BHS) as a design engineer in 1994, working his way up from there, becoming the BHS Brighton Manager in 1998 and then overseeing the merger of the Brighton and Dudley BHS Sites into a new location in Gloucester in 2000. From there he went through being the technical director of Branch Hydraulics to become Group Applications Manager. He is the ultimate Engineer’s Engineer!

Bruce Diesel

HES AutomaTec Divisional Manager

Bruce joins the team at a really exciting time as the company celebrates 50 years of operation. Bruce is part of the growth of Group HES, as he heads up the new Automation Division. Bruce is a not afraid of a challenge; as well as being an extremely capable and experienced software engineer; Bruce is a competitive amateur cyclist, who is going to lead the success and development of the new division.

Chris Way

Group Finance Director

Joining us in 1997, Chris proved his loyalty and commitment by undertaking accountancy college work in his spare time, now 18 years later he is fully CIMA qualified and the Financial Director for Group HES. A proud family man in both home and work life, Chris represents the true essence of our company’s dedication to the development of our people. Chris is a supporter of this ethos himself, training and mentoring the next generation.

David Maher

Group Operations Manager

Dave left South Africa in 1990 to go backpacking round Europe and 25 years later he’s still here! Dave joined us in 1999 and has been the pioneer behind many of the company’s evolutionary developments in terms of efficiency and systems. He has many strings to his bow, including, health & safety, quality, HR, IT, fleet management and, more recently, our growing production and site service operations.

Nick Sheard

Group Sales and Marketing

Nick is our agricultural specialist and started with us, as HES Tractec manager, in 2005. As Tractec grew so did Nick’s role, accepting an additional position of Strategic Supply Chain Manager and managing the Group’s marketing efforts. Nick is now Group HES sales manager, using his prior sales experience as an area, national and European sales manager with agricultural OEMs, to drive the continued growth of the Group.

Simon Dickinson

Group Regional Manager North

Simon joined us in October 2014. Already achieving some great results in the North; Simon is using his wealth of mechanical engineering experience to drive the Group HES brand. Simon’s appointment demonstrates the commitment to growth at the Group and we are excited about the impact Simon will continue to have.
