On the weekend of 9th-10th September 2017 Group HES was proud to support the first Cheltenham Paint Festival.
International and British street artists could be seen painting high-quality art in and around Cheltenham town centre.
There were 30-40 paint sites in and around Cheltenham including the Honeybourne Line, Pittville Park, pubs, and other areas in and around the centre of town. Some of the artists also provided workshops to allow kids an opportunity to give street art a go. The artwork still remains around the town centre to be enjoyed by all, even after the Festival has finished.
Around 70 world-class street artists showcased their craft at the Festival, including but in no way limited to:
DICE67
Cheltenham based stencil and freehand artist.
DIFF
A self-taught Bristol born and bred urban artist.
GNASHER
Has painted large scale murals for Xbox, Ford and Easyjet amongst others.
DEEDS
Has been cutting stencils since the 80's.
Cheltenham Paint Festival was a free arts trail. There was no cost to view the artists at work or the paintings they have produced. Even the children's spray painting workshops were free.
