Hydraulic Equipment Supermarkets is a market-leading company in the supply of hydraulic components and has been serving the industry since 1965. The company, who has recently been named as one of the fastest growing businesses in Gloucestershire, is looking for a Marketing Trainee to join their Marketing team, to build their offline and online presence, contributing to a rise in growth and profitability. The position is based at the Gloucester head office, situated on Innsworth Technology Park.

As part of your role, you will be supported through an internationally recognised CIM qualification (Chartered Institute of Marketing), which will be completed in your spare time and will be fully subsidised by the company.

This is an entry-level position so no marketing experience is required, however, any experience or passion for marketing as a career will be extremely beneficial. You will receive full and ongoing training in addition to the qualification(s) that you will gain. There is no limit to how far you can go in the company if you have the right mindset, attitude and work ethic.

Responsibilities will include:

Digital marketing – including but not limited to: Google AdWords management, SEO techniques and general website optimisation, content writing for webpages and blog posts etc., digital advertising, lead generation, ensuring web orders are processed properly, managing and posting on Social Media, creating and managing email marketing campaigns and analysing web effectiveness using tools such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog etc.

Off-line marketing – including but not limited to: liaising with the creative team to arrange adverts, flyers, business stationery, etc., admin responsibilities, using the CRM system effectively, keeping track of the marketing plan and ensuring campaigns are prepared ahead of schedule, competitor analysis

Admin – including but not limited to: inputting and exporting data to/from the CRM system, organising inter-company travel and events, placing of recruitment adverts, dealing with miscellaneous phone calls, and any other tasks that might arise to support the business activities.

The right person is someone who can work independently with high standards for themselves. They will be able to work to deadlines, be organised and methodical in their approach. They will be well versed on the internet, (training will be provided on the different programs) and have an analytical mind. The most important thing is that the person is enthusiastic about learning and developing their marketing skills.
