Cartridge Valves

DIRECTIONAL - PRESSURE - FLOW CONTROL CARTRIDGE VALVES

STERLING

Flows up to 400l/min

Pressures up to 420 bar

Cartridge valves provide compact and cost effective solutions particularly when multiple functions are required but space is limited. Custom designed manifolds are also available which can lower costs and provide unique circuit solutions. 'Sterling' cartridge valves utilise standard European housings or cavities. Cavity tooling is also available if you wish to produce your own manifold blocks.

ADVANTAGES

PRESSURE CONTROLS

Range of pressure controls that can be poppet or spool type configurations depending on the application. Proportional pressure controls are also available for flows of up to 30 litres/min.

FLOW CONTROLS

Full range of restrictive or pressure compensated flow controls in either 2 or 3 port configurations in addition to flow divider/combiner valves.

DIRECTIONAL VALVES

Directional valves can be supplied as either solenoid operated or hydraulic pilot operated.

CIRCUIT VALVES

Custom designed circuit valves provide a combination of functions or controls within single manifold assemblies. Proportional units also available.

4 way solenoid operated directional
control valves. Define circuit & operating
voltages.

Load control valves & custom designed
circuits. Define functions that need to be
incorporated.

Temperature

Oil temperature should be between +30ºC & +60ºC during normal operation. Oil life is greatly reduced if temperature exceeds 60ºC. As a general rule, oil life is halved for each 8ºC temperature exceeds 60ºC.

Filtering

It is necessary to keep the level of contamination within a hydraulic system at an acceptable level to ensure trouble free operation. Filtration should always be specified at a level that protects the most sensitive item or component in the system.
