LOW FRICTION DESIGN
To ensure that steering controls maintain a high degree of operator 'feel' all Sauer-Danfoss steering columns are constructed using low friction bearings & bushes.
MOUNTINGS TO SUIT ALL OSPB / OSPC UNITS
All OSPB & OSPC steering units share the same steering column mounting flange, allowing columns & units to be interchanged & designs standardised.
INTEGRAL WIRING AVAILABLE
Units can be supplied with horn wires or cabling access, to allow for a variety of electrical functions to be incorporated into the column.
SEPARATE AXLE JOURNALS AVAILABLE
Where special columns are required then journals to fit the steering unit are available that can be welded to the base of the customer's steering column.

Operation
When using long steering columns care should be taken to provide some additional
support close to the steering wheel, to prevent operators from side loading the column assembly. The sealed bearing at the top of steering columns is designed to accommodate
a small amount of misalignment whilst also providing for minimal friction.
Lubrication
Steering columns use sealed bearing assemblies that do not require lubrication. |
