| Sauer-Danfoss 'Orbit' type hydraulic motors operate on the principle of an internal gear rotating within a fixed external gear. The internal gear transmits the torque generated by the application of pressure from the hydraulic oil fed into the motor which is then delivered via the motor's output shaft. Typical applications for these motors are winch drives, mixer drives, elevator drives, small vehicle transmissions & machine tools. |

ADVANTAGES
CONSTANT OPERATING TORQUE
Choosing the correct capacity of motor for your particular application will ensure an almost constant output torque across the operating speed range.
HIGH STARTING TORQUE
Torques from a stalled condition can be typically 80% of the equivalent running torque, ensuring good starting performance.
FOUR BOLT SAE 'D' MOUNTINGS
The standard mounting is a four hole flange with hole centres & spigot to SAE D. This feature allows the motor to be mounted in four different orientations to suit your particular application.
.
HIGH PRESSURE SHAFT SEALS
High pressure shaft seals can allow units to be operated upstream of another function, without the need for additional seal drains.

Temperature
Oil temperature should be between +30ºC & +60ºC during normal operation. Oil life is greatly reduced if temperature exceeds 60ºC. As a general rule, oil life is halved for each 8ºC temperature exceeds 60ºC.
Filtering
It is necessary to keep the level of contamination within a hydraulic system at an acceptable level to ensure trouble free operation. Filtration should always be specified at a level that protects the most sensitive item or component in the system. |
