Filter

FAIREY INLINE HIGH PRESSURE FILTER

174 / 274 / 374

Flows up to 350l/min

Pressures up to 414 bar

Fairey pressure filters comprise a glass fibre media through which oil is passed whilst under pressure. Element condition can be determined by visual or electrical indicators. Discarded elements will always contain a certain amount of hydraulic fluid so should be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

ADVANTAGES

HIGH PRESSURE CAPABILITY

Whilst all units are capable of working at pressures up to 414 bars they can also provide a cost effective solution for many lower pressure applications.

UNITS AVAILABLE WITH ELEMENT INDICATORS

Visual or electrical bypass indicators are available on all models and should be specified depending on the system requirements.

PIPELINE MOUNTINGS

In line mounting can be BSP threaded ports or SAE flange, the latter being better suited in higher flow applications.

CHOICE OF ELEMENTS

Glass fibre media ensures a robust element that can be specified in terms of the required micron rating for a system.

Temperature

Oil temperature should be between +30ºC & +60ºC during normal operation. Oil life is greatly reduced if temperature exceeds 60ºC. As a general rule, oil life is halved for each 8ºC temperature exceeds 60ºC.

Operation

When selecting a filter, please consider the contamination ingression rate, which can be determined by the number of actuators, pumps or motors used within a system, the required fluid cleanliness of all system components and the desired maintenance intervals. Filtration requirements for each system are unique, so it is recommended that systems are regularly monitored to determine optimum levels of filtration.
