Cylinders

DOUBLE & SINGLE ACTING HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS

CYL-D/S

Bores from 32mm - 100mm

Pressures up to 210 bar

Double acting hydraulic cylinders or actuators comprise a piston driving a rod to generate operating forces that are directly related to the cylinder's size & to the pressure applied. Cylinders can be powered in one or two directions depending on the application or requirement. Typical applications are for any form of linear motion on all forms of machinery.

ADVANTAGES

ROBUST WELDED CONSTRUCTION

Cylinders are of screwed & welded construction & fitted with female BSP ports appropriate to their bore size.

ALL BORE & ROD OPTIONS AVAILABLE

An extensive range of metric bore & rod sizes are available.

STANDARD PIN HOLE MOUNTINGS

Pin hole mountings are standard although a wide variety of mountings can be specified.

Temperature

Oil temperature within any system should ideally be between +30ºC & +60ºC during normal operation. Oil life is greatly reduced if temperature exceeds 60ºC. As a general rule oil life is halved for each 8ºC temperature exceeds 60ºC.

Filtering

It is necessary to keep the level of contamination within a hydraulic system at an acceptable level to ensure trouble free operation. Filtration should always be specified at a level that protects the most sensitive item or component in the system.
