Vane Pumps

VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT PRTESSURE CONTROLLED VANE PUMPS

PVA & PVD

Capacities 6cc-100cc/rev

Speeds up to 1,800rpm

Pressures up to 160bar

Duplomatic variable displacement vane pumps use a rotating centre element fitted with a number of sliding vanes and contained within an eccentric housing. The sliding vanes displace oil as they rotate between suction & pressure ports. The eccentricity of the pump housing is varied to increase or decrease the pump's displacement. Typical applications are industrial power units, machine tool drives or any circuit that requires a low noise pumping unit with variable displacement.

ADVANTAGES

FAST RESPONDING VARIABLE DELIVERY

Mechanical or pilot operated variable displacement controls allow for instantaneous change of displacement thereby providing effective relief protection.

AXIAL PRESSURE COMPENSATING WEAR PLATES

Pumps are supplied with hydrostatic axial compensation wear plates that improve the volumetric efficiency & reduce component wear.

MULTIPLE VERSIONS AVAILABLE

Pumps can be supplied as single or tandem units to suit.

ADDITIONAL POWER TAKE OFF MOUNTING FLANGE

Units can be supplied with an additional through pump drive to suit group 1 or 2 gear pumps.

Temperature

Oil temperature should be between +30ºC & +60ºC during normal operation. Oil life is greatly reduced if temperature exceeds 60ºC. As a general rule, oil life is halved for each 8ºC temperature exceeds 60ºC.

Filtering

It is necessary to keep the level of contamination within a hydraulic system at an acceptable level to ensure trouble free operation. Filtration should always be specified at a level that protects the most sensitive item or component in the system.
